Bucyrus Police reports-July 3

Friday, June 30, 2017
7:25 a.m.- Officers investigated a report of the break-in of a vehicle in the 500 block Charles Street.
9:03 a.m.- Officers picked up the contents of a purse that was reported stolen in the 100 block of North Lane Street.
11:30 a.m.- A woman was served with two income tax summons at the police department.
12:19 p.m.- Officers investigated a report of a two-car minor collision in the Kroger lot.
4:27 p.m.- A written warning for junk vehicles was issued in the 400 block of West Mansfield Street.
4:30 p.m.- Wesley Jackson, 26, was arrested for operating a vehicle
under the influence (OVI) and warrants out of Richland County and
the Ontario Police Department. He was issued a citation for the
OVI and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to await
transport on the warrants.
4:45 p.m.- Officers checked the welfare of a resident in the 1700 block of Whetstone Street.
5:44 p.m.- A report of a juvenile in the middle of the road in the
area of Prospect Street and Oakwood Avenue was investigated.
5:56 p.m.- Officers stood by for a civil custody exchange in the 400 block of West Warren Street.
6:50 p.m.- A resident in the 500 block of Failor Street reported items missing from his residence.
7:07 p.m.- A resident in the 500 block of South Walnut Street reported money stolen from his residence.
7:52 p.m.- A report of a possible trespassing situation at Larno Apartments was investigated.
7:53 p.m.- A report of vehicles tearing up the grass at Harmon Park was investigated.
9:17 p.m.- A disturbance in the 200 block of West Mansfield Street was investigated.
9:39 p.m.- A report of gunshots in the area around Jump and Sears Streets turned out to be fireworks in the area.
10:04 p.m.- Officers checked on a couple of suspicious vehicles parked at the end of Crossroads Blvd.
11:35 p.m.- A report of people shining laser pointers in windows in the 400 block of Dudley Street was investigated.

12:09 a.m.- A report of loud music in the 500 block of Failor Avenue was investigated.
1:37 a.m.- A report of juveniles walking around Walmart without an adult was investigated.
2:52 a.m.- A report of a possibly intoxicated driver in the 100 block of West Mansfield Street was investigated.
5:15 a.m.- Officers assisted the Bucyrus Fire Department in the 300 block of East Warren Street.
7:43 a.m.- A purse that was stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block
of Rosedale Avenue was turned into the police department then
returned to the owner.
8:59 a.m.- Officers spoke to Walmart employees about a potential
shoplifter.
9:06 a.m.- A report of an open door at the water plant on
Beechgrove Road was investigated.
9:10 a.m.- Officers investigated a one-car injury accident at
Highland Avenue and Warren Street. The vehicle rolled over and
driver and passenger left the scene on foot but were later located.
Both were checked by Life Support Team Ambulance. The driver
was given two citations and released. The vehicle was towed from
the scene.
9:31 a.m.- Officers investigated the break-in of a shed in the 200
block of Woodlawn Avenue.
11:23 a.m.- A resident in the 1100 block of Victoria Drive reported
a vehicle trespass and a purse stolen.
11:41 a.m.- Officers investigated a report of a disturbance in the
500 block of Failor Avenue.
12:58 p.m.- Officers investigated a report of a disturbance in the
500 block of South Sandusky Avenue.
1:10 p.m.- Officers investigated a neighborhood dispute in the 300
block of East Oakwood Avenue.
1:37 p.m.- Officers assisted hospital employees with a disorderly
patient.
2:06 p.m.- A report of illegal dumping of trash was investigated in
the 1800 block of East Mansfield Street.
3:02 p.m.- A neighborhood dispute was investigated in the 1100
block of John Street.
3:16 p.m.- An abandoned bicycle found on North Lane Street was
turned in to the police department.
3:43 p.m.- Austin Biederman, 19, was arrested in the 1800 block of
Marion Road on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence,
underage consumption, trespassing and a stop sign violation. He
was issued a court date and taken to the Crawford County Justice
Center.
4:06 p.m.- A traffic complaint in the area of Schaber Avenue and
Tiffin Street was investigated.
6:50 p.m.- During a traffic stop on Irving Street near Willard Street,
Dominic Wiparina, 33, was arrested for possession of drug
paraphernalia.
7:02 p.m.- Officers checked the area of East Street and Woodlawn
Avenue for a bicycle reported to match the description of a bicycle
reported stolen several days ago. 
8:34 p.m.- Officers served a summons in the 400 block of South
Spring Street for a property maintenance violation.
9:30 p.m.- Two expired license plates were turned over to officers
in the 100 block of East Mansfield Street.
9:59 p.m.- Officers investigated a fireworks complaint in the 300 block of Iron Street.
10:01 p.m.- Officers investigated a fireworks complaint in the 1500 block of Fairview Avenue.
10:19 p.m.- A verbal warning was issued for shooting off bottle rockets in town.
10:52 p.m.- A resident in the area of Reid and Fisher Streets
thought she heard a noise. No one was located and nothing
appeared out of place.

12:32 a.m.- A verbal warning for loud music was issued in the 1100 block of Hopley Avenue.
12:37 a.m.- Officers assisted a Crawford County Sheriff's deputy on a traffic stop in the 1300 block of South Sandusky Avenue.
12:55 a.m.- A verbal warning for loud music was issued in the area of North Walnut and Perry Streets.
6:24 a.m.- A person in the 600 block of South Walnut Street reported being assaulted by someone she knows.
10:07 a.m.- Officers investigated a report of an unruly teenager in the 300 block of West Center Street.
10:57 a.m.- Officers checked the welfare of a man in the 400 block of North Walnut Street.
1:07 p.m.- A report of a disturbance in the 400 block of South
Sandusky Avenue was investigated.
1:19 p.m.- A report of a dog left in a hot vehicle was investigated in the 200 block of East Galen Street.
3:44 p.m.- A landlord-tenant dispute was reported in the 200 block of Blicke Street.
4:15 p.m.- One income tax summons was issued in the 700 block of South East Street.
5:23 p.m.- Officers resolved a disturbance in the 1900 block of Whetstone Street.
5:25 p.m.- A juvenile complaint was investigated at Aumiller Park pool.
6:18 p.m.- A disturbance was investigated in the 1700 block of Whetstone Street.
7:01 p.m.- A report of an attempted breaking and entering was investigated in the 300 block of East Mansfield Street.
7:32 p.m.- Officers assisted Bucyrus Fire Department in the 300 block of East Warren Street.
8:38 p.m.- Officers assisted the Bucyrus Fire Department in the 1100 block of John Street.
9:13 p.m.- Officers attempted to serve an income tax summons in the 1400 block of Whetstone Street.
9:17 p.m.- A disturbance was investigated in the 900 block of Earl Street.
9:35 p.m.- A vandalism report was taken in the 900 block of South East Street.
10:02 p.m.- A noise disturbance was reported in the 400 block of Euclid Avenue.
10:07 p.m.- A juvenile complaint was investigated in the 100 block of River Street.
10:47 p.m.- A traffic warning was issued in the area of Warren and Jones Streets.
11:18 p.m.- A domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Sunset Drive was mediated.
11:47 p.m.- A warning for fireworks was issued in the 400 block of West Warren Street.
Monday, July 3, 2017
12:13 a.m.- Two juveniles were warned for being out past curfew and given a ride home.
6:04 a.m.- A domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Marion Road was a verbal dispute.
